One of the many things that make the Austin skyline so breathtaking is our beloved Lady Bird Lake, essentially a reservoir of the Colorado River that runs right through the middle of downtown Austin. The lake was a beautification project in the 1960's, led by Lady Bird Johnson, the First Lady of the 36th President of the United States.
